ANNOUNCEMENT!! SEEKING NEW BOARD MEMBERS FOR ACTION FOR EASTERN MONTANA!

Are you passionate about making a difference in your community? Do you have the skills and dedication to help guide our mission to empower and uplift those in need? If so, we invite you to join our Board of Directors.

About Us: Action for Eastern Montana is committed to addressing the underlying factors contributing to poverty in our communities. We strive to create opportunities for economic stability, education, and overall well-being for all residents.

Our Programs: We offer a variety of programs designed to support and empower individuals and families in our community, including:

  • Low Income Home Energy Assistance: Helping families manage energy costs and ensure their homes are warm and safe.

  • Weatherization: Improving the energy efficiency of homes to reduce energy costs and increase comfort.

  • Aging Services: Providing support and resources to our senior community to enhance their quality of life.

  • Youth Workforce Education and Training: Equipping young people with the education, skills and knowledge they need to succeed in the workforce.

  • Head Start Centers: Offering early childhood education, health, nutrition, and parent involvement services to low-income children and their families.

  • Low Income Housing: Providing affordable housing options to ensure everyone has a safe and stable place to live.

We Are Looking For: Dedicated individuals who are enthusiastic about our mission and can bring diverse perspectives and expertise to our board. We value a range of skills, including but not limited to:

  • Leadership and Governance

  • Financial Management

  • Fundraising and Development

  • Community Outreach and Advocacy

  • Strategic Planning

How to Apply: If you are interested in joining our board, please submit a letter of interest. In your letter, please address the following topics:

  1. Your Motivation: Explain why you are interested in serving on our board and what drives your passion for community service.

  2. Relevant Experience: Highlight any relevant experience or skills that you believe would contribute to Action for Eastern Montana’s mission.

  3. Vision and Goals: Share your vision for your community and how you believe our agency can make a positive impact.

  4. Commitment: Describe your availability and willingness to commit time and effort to board activities and meetings. Please note that being a board member requires attending a monthly meeting on the third Friday morning of each month in Glendive. We ask that you confirm your ability to attend these meetings in person, with mileage reimbursement provided.
